How long can mixed concrete stay in the mixer?
If I mix up a batch of concrete in my little 3.5 cuft mixer and begin using it, how long is the concrete good for assuming that I keep it turning except for very short stops to pull out a bucket of material?
I would expect it should be good for several hours as long as it is kept mixing, but I'm not certain. Any advice from concrete experts would be appreciated!
Answer: a couple of hours is pushing it...it will reach a point where it wont matter how much water you add...we finishers complain if it sits in the truck for more than an hour...mix smaller batches if this becomes an issue...
