High Strength Pavement (HSP) or Roller Compacted Concrete is a zero slump concrete mix using very little water. It is delivered in dump trucks, placed with conventional asphalt paving equipment, and compacted with a steel drum roller. It typically reaches strength of 5,000 PSI in 28 days.
HSP installation is less labor intensive than conventional concrete as no forms are used. It has a fast production rate, requires no shrinking and jointing is optional due to minimal shrinkage.
HSP is suggested for use in parking lots, industrial roadways, intermodal yards, waste re-cycling facilities, cart paths, local roads and shoulders.
